When I was in my 50s I took my first tap class ever. I'm so lucky Jaime was my instructor. I was completely out of my comfort zone yet I stuck with it for several years due to Jaime's support and ability to make everyone feel welcome and competent (although I was not!). There was never a class when we weren't all laughing at some point. I'm well-known for being shy and not wanting to try new things but a past season of So You Think You Can Dance inspired me to go out and take a tap class. I had zero experience. Zero. I was so impressed with how well Jaime worked with all the skill levels in that first class. She has this amazing ability to meet you wherever you are but also to push you past that place. That first class was in the summer of 2014 and I've been tapping with Jaime ever since.
